Here are my thoughts, my ideas, my feelings, my fears. I write as I see it. No one can for go for like the divine can. In this time, in this place is a reality. Only the soul can understand this. For I have grown. Hang around my thoughts, and you will see what I have brough forth from the inner beings of my heart. As you journey here don't judge. For we all have a destination. We all have a goal. Once we reach it, then its time to start again. Time to grow. Time to enjoy. Stay awhile. There are my thoughts, my dreams, my hope, my fears. This is the reality as I see it. Come join with me into the riches of the cosmos. Let us journey into the mind of the universe. What we shall find will increase our awareness of realities beyond the reaches of our minds. We are all divine sparks of God. Let me show you how to tap into the deep mind and awareness of ageless wisdom. Once you learn these, you never will never be the same again. These are my poetic thoughts placed in the vastness of these pages.

What does a Christian life lived "by the Spirit" look like? Bringing together Protestant scholars and practitioners of spiritual formation, this volume offers a distinctly evangelical consideration of the benefits of contemplation. Drawing on historical examples from the church—including John Calvin, Richard Baxter, Jonathan Edwards, and John Wesley—this book considers how contemplative prayer can shape Christian living today.

Only in the MomentOnly in the Moment

There is something calming and reassuring when one is in the vicinity of a lighthouse. Lighthouses are, I think, a perfect metaphor for ... Think for a moment what it would be like if every church functioned as a “spiritual lighthouse”.

As we grow older, it seems to me that we become less interested in impressing people and more focused on being remembered by those who know us. Certainly, we want to have done enough good things to have those merits define us rather than our demerits. I think we clearly hope that loved ones and friends will know enough about us that they will understand why we lived life as we did. We do not think they will very often agree with us, but we strive to have them see why we took the paths we walked in our life. This modest offering is an attempt to bring a modicum of understanding of the motivations in my life to the minds of our children Alicia and Colin and to my enduring wife Sue. I know they all have wondered about me from time to time. I pray they always knew I wanted only to do good and have them sense the depth of my love for them. And, in these writings there is also a hope that friends and acquaintances will find some laughter and maybe even a tiny bit of wisdom to help them in their journey through life. I was blessed to be born to Shelby Ancel Haley and to Hettie Curry Haley on February 16th, 1945 in St. Joseph, Missouri. No child had more love and protection than I did from these excellent parents. My mothers love was total and was matched by that of my father. As I grew up I began to realize that my father had instilled a significant amount of wisdom in me, because he was truly a wise man. Each time I found myself in distress in life, I was able to remember a lesson or a saying from my dad that I could tie my lifeline to. Mom and Dad created a truly strong foundation for me to build my life upon. Perhaps this little book will help someone I know and love understand me better and remember me more often. It contains poems of faith, sayings some sermons I once delivered and a few devotionals and essays I put on the page over many years. I do want you to enjoy the reading and hope you will laugh more often with me than at me. If I make it to Heaven, I will be regularly walking those sunny streets. I would wish to encounter each and every one of you there and would delight in sharing laughter and love with you in long conversations. After all, we wont be pressed for time there, will we? God Bless!

This work is very much an analysis. It is aimed at pinpointing and highlighting specific elements of three major themes. Based on common life experiences, the themes outline both benefits and challenges of life’s transitions. Life’s transitions are outlined in seasons to encourage and lend edification. The chapters lead the reader to survey biblical scriptures, stories and analogies with life’s key principles, building blocks and prayers. The chapters close by focusing on life’s analysis using seasonal reviews. A study guide and journal are included for the benefit of young and older readers.
